A Brief History Of Liam Gallagher
Love him or hate him, few figures embody the attitude of their city quite like Liam Gallagher.
The boy from Burnage has certainly left his mark on British music, and is considered by many to be the last proper rockstar we’ve seen on these shores in recent years.
You might even say he’s a punk at heart, via the school of John Lennon, never inclined to mince his words and always ready to take aim at some unsuspecting panhead whenever the mood strikes. Sure, he’s a mean old git at the best of times, but his insults always fall at the creative end of the spectrum – panhead being one of them.
Now then, what about all that brotherly love? People tend to speak of the Gallagher brothers as two very different sides of the same coin. If Noel is the poet and principal songwriter, Liam is the town crier. Saying that though, the simple impact of a tune like Songbird (written by Liam) goes to show that there’s perhaps more to his game than shouting into microphones and balancing tambourines on his head.
It’s actually been just over a decade since LG launched his own personal clothing line: Pretty Green. Many doubted at the time whether the idea would take off, but few can question the impact that the chain has had on the UK high street, clobber-wise, over the past ten years.
If your wardrobe’s looking pretty full already, why not put a little wonder on your wall with one of our custom prints of Liam Gallagher?
Nice one.
